Who Are We?
Established in 2010, the Faculty of Architecture is located in Samsun, a very important and qualified port city of Turkey, in the OMU Fine Arts Campus, which is close to the city center, easily accessible and has a rich natural environment. The academic staff of the Faculty of Architecture, which continues to provide education with the Architecture, Interior Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning Departments, consists of one professor, two associate professors, nine assistant professors, three lecturers and 15 research assistants. By supporting students' theoretical and practical education with six classrooms, 12 workshops and one training laboratory, the Faculty of Architecture trains qualified graduates with vision at national and international levels.

What About Our Qualifications and Academic Vision?
The vision of our Faculty, which aims to train qualified students in the field of architecture, is "sustainability-oriented education". The Faculty of Architecture, which provides education to hundreds of students with its young, dynamic and enthusiastic academic staff, aims to raise graduates who are sensitive to the environment, take into account the diversifying needs and expectations of society, and observe professional ethics. In addition, our graduate students benefit society as individuals who are aware of local values but aware of international developments, care about research, have advanced technical knowledge, and can work and cooperate on interdisciplinary issues.
What are Faculty Facilities and Students' Achievements?
The Faculty of Architecture, which supports the studies in the field of application with its motto "Be quiet, let your project speak!" has achieved success in various competitions with the opportunities it offers students. Faculty-student Yavuz Selim Doğanyiğit won the first prize in the Student Poster Competition in 2021 with his work "Beyond the Window".
What Are Our Programs and Job Opportunities?
Students who graduate from our Faculty can work as practitioners, designers and supervisors in the design and construction units of the public and private sectors. In addition, they can establish their businesses and cooperate with public and private sector projects. Job opportunities include education and research in architecture and related departments of higher education institutions, education and research in research centers, working as a researcher, editor, assistant editor, expert in the relevant field, consultant in printed/virtual publications related to architecture and the city. What Exchange Programs Do We Offer to Our Students? Our Faculty has Farabi, Mevlana and Erasmus+ Programs student exchange agreements. Our students actively benefit from these programs and contribute to expanding their perspectives on their fields of expertise with the experiences they have gained.

In What Ways Do We Support the Professional, Cultural, and Social Atmosphere?
In addition to the qualified academic courses given to the students, the cultural and social atmosphere is supported by various exhibitions and seminars. Activities such as vocational seminars, design activities, workshops, interviews and project competitions are carried out for students' professional and cultural development. The Faculty of Architecture, a contemporary and innovative faculty that keeps up with the developing world, also supports students participating in national and international scientific events and activities such as exhibitions/screenings/biennials. Student societies established within the university are also crucial in supporting the professional, cultural and social atmosphere. There are two types of community structures classified into professional and social categories within the body of our University's Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports. Professional societies are specific to faculties, while social societies are general. Our students have carried out many activities and organizations within the communities so far. In addition, our university provides the institutional ground necessary to create an atmosphere that will enable the cultural development of our students through social communities operating in 93 fields, from cycling to chess.
