15 OMÜ Academics Make the 'World's Most Influential Scientists List' Fifteen academics from Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) successfully made the “List of the World's Most Influential Scientists,” prepared in collaboration with Stanford University and the Netherlands-based publishing company, Elsevier. The academics were evaluated in two separate categories: "Annual Impact" and "Career-Long Impact."
Twelve OMÜ scientists were included in the Annual Impact List, and ten were featured in the Career-Long Impact List. Seven of these individuals achieved a significant success by making both categories.
The list was compiled based on objective criteria such as the number of qualified publications, citation counts, patents, h-index, hm-index, standardized citation scores, and citation based on author order. In the study, which evaluated 236,313 scientists globally, a total of 1,564 academics from Türkiye were included.
Dean's Double Success Our Faculty Member from the Department of City and Regional Planning, and also our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Mehmet ÇETİN, succeeded in being placed in both categories of the World's Most Influential Scientists List.
OMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın congratulated the academics who contribute to the world literature with their work and enhance the reputation of the university, expressing her wish that their achievements serve as an inspiration to students and young researchers.
