OMÜ Faculty of Architecture Participates in Sapling Planting Event on November 11th National Afforestation Day
A total of 37,380 saplings were planted across 19 different regions throughout the city of Samsun during a large-scale event organized as part of the "November 11th National Afforestation Day." The Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Faculty of Architecture actively participated in this year's Samsun segment, which took place at the afforestation site established next to the T-Type Closed Prison in the İlkadım district.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın, and Secretary General, Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çetin, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil Kaptan, Asst. Prof. Dr. İlknur Zeren Çetin from the City and Regional Planning Department, and our students, supported the event by planting saplings to raise environmental awareness and contribute to environmental sustainability. This meaningful event, which both strengthens social responsibility and reinforces the goal of a greener future, was successfully completed with the interest and support of the participants.
The Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Architecture will continue to contribute to initiatives that prioritize environmental consciousness and maintain its commitment to leaving a more habitable world for future generations.
